Find a ChildFirst Subsidy-approved provider

ChildFirst Subsidy only pays for care at approved, licensed providers. Use the official search or MapleCub to find one near you.

What to ask when you call

  • Not all licensed daycares accept the subsidy — always confirm before applying
  • Call or email the provider to ask: "Are you currently accepting new families on the subsidy?"
  • Ask if there's a wait for subsidy spots — some providers have subsidy waitlists even if they accept the program
  • Once approved, your authorization is tied to a specific provider — changing providers requires notifying your caseworker
  • Licensed family childcare homes in Saskatchewan may include relatives if they are licensed, meet all requirements, and care for the child outside the child's household.
